Quick Cotswolds Escapes
Two nights, a village on your doorstep, and a log burner to come back to — Glebe Cottage is built for a short Cotswolds break, not just a week-long stay.
Not everyone has a week to spare. Glebe Cottage takes bookings from two nights, which makes it an easy, proper escape for a weekend — close enough to reach from London in under two hours, but far enough to feel like you've properly left it behind.
We take bookings of two nights or more, priced per night like any stay, with rates varying by season and day of the week. The one thing to know: a two-night stay carries a small additional supplement on top of those nightly rates, to cover the extra turnaround work a quick changeover involves. Stay three nights or more and that supplement drops away entirely — and longer stays also unlock a length-of-stay discount (10% off nights 5–6, 15% off from night 7). Nothing here is a fixed weekend price — check live availability and you'll see the exact nightly rate and total for your actual dates before you book, with no surprises at checkout.
Arrive Friday from 5pm, get the log burner going, and you're a two-minute walk from dinner at the Kings Head Inn on the village green. Saturday's for slower things — a walk straight from the door, a browse of the antiques on Stow-on-the-Wold's Sheep Street (see our Stow guide), or picking up local produce and a coffee at the village shop and café. Sunday morning's for one last quiet walk before checkout at 10am — no rushing required.
A weekend break at Glebe Cottage comes into its own outside peak summer — cosy evenings by one of the two log burners, quieter village pubs, and the Cotswolds at its most atmospheric. See our full local guide for more on what's nearby whatever the season, and our dog friendly guide if you're bringing one along.
Check live dates and see the exact price for your weekend before you book — no guesswork.
